TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

Tempe police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a robber who held up a CVS Pharmacy Monday afternoon.

A man entered the store at 1424 W. Baseline Rd. at about 2:05 p.m. and passed a handwritten note to the pharmacist demanding pills, police said.

He then became agitated and began to climb over the counter until the pharmacist complied with his demands, according to officers. The suspect fled on foot.

The man is described as between 5'3" to 5'5" tall with a heavy build. He is about 25 years old. He was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a white baseball-style hat with blue lettering, a gray-hooded sweatshirt with a red shirt underneath, long navy blue shorts and white shoes. He has a hold hoop earring.

A $1,000 reward is offered through partnership with Silent Witness for information leading to the suspect's arrest and indictment.

People with information are asked to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377).
