Aiken man killed in early morning car crash

Posted: Updated:

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash that killed 22-year-old Kirby White.

The crash happened near Wire Road and Old Shoals Road in Aiken County about 2 a.m. Sunday, according to Tim Carlton, the Aiken County Coroner.

Carlton says White died from multiple body trauma after his car crashed into a tree.

Officials with the SCHP believe White was speeding at the time of the accident and they are looking into the possibility of alcohol playing a role in the fatal car crash.
