The battle over education funding is always one of the biggest topics at the General Assembly.

Democratic leader David Toscano claims, "we spend less per student today than we did in 2008."

Is that true? Does Virginia spend less on students now than they did 5 years ago? Politifact Virginia says Toscano is right. According to reporter Sean Gorman, the numbers do not lie.
