TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Two months after CrossFit gym owner Joe Lengel's death, one of his suspected killers is still on the run, and his family is still waiting for answers.

When Lengel was shot and killed outside his gym the morning of November 19, the future of the gym was the last thing on his family's mind.

"Initially after the incident, we closed for about a week," said Taylor Jesko, current manager of CrossFit Toledo. "Then we wanted to get the members back into the gym as soon as possible to try to keep things as normal as you can in that kind of situation."

It wasn't easy for Jesko, because Lengel had done everything himself before, but with help from Lengel's family and support from around the world, the gym is now flourishing.

"Everyone is kind of rooting for us, and they know our situation," Jesko explained. "With what happened, it's just kind of one of those things you can't wrap your head around, so a lot of support has been pouring in from all over the country, all over the world, even."

On February 23, a CrossFit gym out of Cleveland will present Lengel's family and Jesko with a quilt made from over 200 CrossFit T-shirts from around the world. It's a testament, as Deb Lengel says, to her brother's legacy.

"It was like Joe was here directing us," she said. "This was his life…Every facet of his life was special and he touched so many people, it was just incredible and that all has come through and it's the most wonderful living legacy I can wish for my brother."

Deitrikk Boone is still at large, wanted in connection to Lengel's murder. He is now on Ohio's "Dangerous Dozen" list.

Anyone with information that could be useful to police are asked to call 866-4-WANTED or text to TIP-411.
