Greenville ISD schools on lockdown after reports of armed man near school

GREENVILLE, TX (KLTV) -

Greenville ISD has confirmed that they were alerted by The Greenville Police Department that they are searching for an armed man in their area.

Following police protocol, Bowie Elementary, Travis Elementary, The Greenville Sixth Grade Center and Greenville High School immediately went under external lockdown.

Greenville ISD school authorities confirmed that a person with a weapon was reported near one of the campuses. No other information was released.
