A local program began a 'green' deconstruction project in Wyoming on Wednesday.
Ohio Moving Forward Demolition Grant program, led by the Hamilton County Land Reutilization Corporation (Landbank), began the demolition of a vacant home in the Wyoming neighborhood.
Project officials say they plan to clear the property from the inside out. Building Value LLC was hired by Landbank to take on the task.
"Through this process we call deconstruction, we can salvage much of the saleable features of the home, and recycle a lot of what we cannot sell while providing invaluable job training to area workers," said David Rich, director of Building Value.
Building Value is a non-profit demolition and construction company based in the Tri-State.
