GROVETOWN, GA (WFXG) -
Investigators have revealed that a morning bomb squad callout in Grovetown was all due to a bag of flour.
Grovetown Public Safety responded this morning to Summerfield Circle, where a man had found a bag filled with a white, powdery substance in his yard. It was believed that a wire and stem were also found.
When officers responded to inspect the device, they called the Richmond County Bomb Squad.
The field assessment determined the device was not a threat, and was later found to be a bag of flour, according to Grovetown Public Safety Chief Gary Owens.
