A
Crockett man was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he
allegedly grabbed a brick and hit his brother-in-law in the face and on the
head.
Demetrius
Jones is still being held in the Houston County Jail on a charge of aggravated
assault with a deadly weapon. His bond has been set at $20,000.
A spokesperson
for the Crockett Police Department said an argument started after Damon Dixon
and his wife went to his mother-in-law's house. Jones was there as well, and
during the course of the argument, Jones grabbed a brick and bashed his
brother-in-law in the face and head.
Dixon was
transported to East Texas Medical Center Crockett for treatment of his
injuries, and the Crockett Police Department was dispatched to investigate the
alleged assault.
