Commission fields Lake Olmstead complaints, debates ambulance service contract

The Augusta-Richmond County Commission met on Monday to discuss several important issues.

The Commission field complaints from residents living around Lake Olmstead. Residents said they want dredging of the lake to take place around the lakefront near their properties. Currently, only a small section of the lake is slated to be dredged.

Commissioners also debated Augusta's contract with Gold Cross for ambulance services. They plan to look at the current contract, make changes to it, and put it up for renewal in March.
