Amherst apartment fire update

It's been a week since a fire ripped through an Amherst apartment complex claiming the life of a UMass student.

Amherst fire officials say the cause of the fire at the Rolling Green apartment complex is still under investigation.

James Hoffman, 21, from Stoughton, was found dead in his apartment, where the fire started.

Fire officials tell us they are still waiting on autopsy results.

The blaze left ten units damaged and five destroyed.

The Red Cross is assisting the dozens of people that were left homeless.
