KSP bust fellow cop buying drugs on company time

TODD CO., KY (FOX19) -

A Todd County, Kentucky police officer is behind bars after troopers catch him buying drugs on company time.

On Thursday, Kentucky State Police say they received a tip that an Elkton, KY police officer was trying to buy narcotics while on duty.

KSP say they went undercover and performed a controlled delivery to Officer Russell Morris of the Elkton Police Department.

After the buy, Morris was arrested and charged with Official Misconduct 1st Degree, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Synthetic Cannabinoid

Morris is being held in the Muhlenberg County jail.
