Police agencies report that as of 3:00 p.m. Friday, the 911 phone problems have been fixed.
As of Friday morning, calls made from a land line phone to 911 were not able to be processed due to a state wide outage.
Many state and local agencies worked to fix the problem.
This outage was related to a cut fiber cable and affected multiple carriers.
Statement from AT&T:
Earlier today, some customers in Northern Ohio may have experienced issues with wireline and 2G wireless services. AT&T technicians quickly worked to resolve the hardware-related issue, and service is currently running normally. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers.
