ALLEN TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A driver was flown to a local hospital after being injured by a road reflector that crashed through his windshield.

Apparently a snow plow scooped it off the pavement and sent it airborne.

Officials say the reflector pierced the driver's upper body.

On Thursday around 7:45 a.m., the Hancock County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene on County Road 220 south of state Route 18 in Allen Township.

Officials say Nicolas Stahl, 28, of North Baltimore, was traveling northbound on CR 220 in a snow plow when it happened.

The injured driver, Philip Beatty, 53, of Findlay was last listed in critical condition.

Beatty was able to stop his vehicle on the side to await medical treatment. He was transported to a local hospital by Life Flight.
