Crash causes lane closures on M-13 in Bay County

KAWKAWLIN TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

M-13 or Huron Road in Bay County is down to one lane of traffic in both directions while police clear an accident in the area.

The accident occurred between Jose Road and Mara Drive, about a half mile north of East Beaver Road. There are reports of injuries but the extent of those injuries is not known at this time. A flight care helicopter was also on scene.

The area is near the village of Kawkawlin. Alternate routes in the area would include Mackinaw Road or Fraser Road for commuters traveling north and southbound.

It is not known at this time if any injuries were sustained or how many vehicles were involved in the crash.

WNEM is working to bring you new information and will provide updates as soon as the road is completely reopen to traffic.
