Futurity means big business for vendors

Posted: Updated:
AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The cowboys are back in town, and those selling Western gear have followed them.

The 34th Annual Augusta Futurity is underway at the James Brown Arena, but the action isn't just taking place on the arena floor.

Vendors from all over the country have brought their product to the Garden City, hoping to attract their target audience.

For many of the vendors, the Augusta Futurity is a yearly stop.

"I see a lot of people here that I know," says Brook Parrish of Kendall's Western Hats. He's come from Pavo, GA. "It's helped quite a bit, being here every year."

But not all of the vendors are from out of town. Several have made the short trip from right up the road elsewhere in the CSRA.
