Mapco store robbed in south Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police are investigating a robbery at a convenience store early Wednesday morning in south Nashville.

Investigators said the incident happened at a store located at 5040 Nolensville Pike around 3:45 a.m.

A black man wearing a red jacket entered the store armed with a handgun and forced the clerk into a bathroom.

The suspect took money from the register and fled from the store.
