Commissioners vote against funding downtown pedestrian bridge - WFXG FOX54 Augusta - Your News One Hour Earlier

Commissioners approved the TEE Center sky bridge last summer, but those plans are now at a standstill because commissioners didn't approve funding for the bridge during their Tuesday meeting.

There's no set time to revisit the issue, but District Five Commissioner Bill Lockett says he'd like to look at plans for the bridge again once he sees how the TEE Center performs. 

"I think it would be unwise for us to approve something like this now. We need to wait and do some head counts and so forth, maybe a year down the road," Lockett, said.
