Thumb authorities bust 'clandestine' meth lab

TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

WNEM TV5 has learned Michigan State Troopers from the Caro post have located what they describe as a clandestine methamphetamine lab in the Caro area.

Troopers were dispatched to an address on Bevens Road in Indianfields Township and found the lab last Tuesday. An MSP Methamphetamine Team responded to the scene to clean up the hazardous chemicals found at the home.

Troopers said two people were held on charges related to the meth lab. Few details beyond that were released, and police said their investigation into the two people and the manufacturing of meth continues.

Authorities asked that anyone with information on meth labs being operated in the Thumb area call the MSP at 989-673-2156.
