Fugitive wanted after ramming police car during chase

(Toledo News Now) - The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Antonio Armstrong.

Armstrong is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and Willoughby Police Department. He is charged with felonious assault on a police officer. It is alleged that on Jan. 7, a Willoughby police officer attempted to stop Armstrong who had gone to a Willoughby motel to meet a prostitute. Armstrong fled from police, nearly hitting an officer and intentionally ramming a police car. During the chase, he began driving the wrong way on Interstate 90 and again struck a police car. Armstrong crashed on E. 185th St. in Cleveland and fled on foot. 

Armstrong was already wanted for a probation violation stemming from a kidnapping and previous police chase.  

Armstrong is described as a 27-year-old black male standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. 

He is believed to be hiding in the Collinwood area of Cleveland. He also has a previous address near the 16400 block of Braddock Ave. in Cleveland.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Antonio Armstrong is encouraged to contact the NOVFTF at 1-866-4WANTED or text keyword "WANTED" with the tip to TIP411. Tipsters may remain anonymous. A cash reward may be available.
