A 49-year-old mid-Michigan woman who's lost more than 250 pounds says she was on the verge of selling her home and moving into assisted living before deciding to shed the weight.
Today, Theresa Borwaski no longer needs a wheel chair or walker -- and her asthma has significantly improved. She's gone from 428 pounds to 173 pounds.
The Lake resident says since March 1, 2011 she hasn't had an M&M, pretzel, chip, cookie or ice cream. Borwaski says she has one slice of pizza every other month and drinks about two gallons of water daily.
She tells the Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant that the experience has been "liberating" but now she has to learn how to shop and must deal with excessive skin and smaller shoe sizes.
