Man apprehended for robbing girlfriend at gunpoint

MARTINEZ, GA (WFXG) -

A Columbia County man is behind bars after allegedly robbing his girlfriend at gunpoint, and taking her across the CSRA.

John Maynard is accused of forcing his girlfriend into her vehicle at gunpoint in Martinez, then driving to the Burger King she manages in Richmond County. He allegedly got $1750 from the safe.

Maynard then allegedly forced her to withdraw $360 from an ATM at the Georgia Bank and Trust in Martinez.

Maynard was taken into custody in Richmond County this afternoon.

Man apprehended for robbing girlfriend at gunpoint
