LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Two teenagers who walked off from Heartlight Ministries in Hallsville have returned to the facility.

Madeline Apple and Andrew Hill, both 17, left Heartlight Ministries on Monday.

Counselors from the facility spotted Apple and Hill at an EZ Mart convenience store on McCann Road in Longview around 8:45 on Thursday evening. Apple had contacted her mother by telephone and, after the conversation, the mother notified Longview Police and Heartlight of the general location of the pair. Apple's father was also in Longview and assisted with her return to the facility.

Harrison County Sheriff's Dispatch received numerous telephone calls reporting sightings of the pair. Harrison County Sheriff William McCool says that response from the public and media is credited as a factor in the safe return of the pair.

Heartlight Ministries is a general behavioral center and not a locked-down facility.
