Red Cross pleads for blood donations after holiday lag

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Due to lagging donations during the holiday season, the American Red Cross is in urgent need of blood.

Red Cross officials say their main needs are types O-negative and B-negative.

You can help by rolling up your sleeve, and there are dozens of blood drives coming up across Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.
