UPDATE: Investigators searching for overnight shooting suspect

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect in an overnight shooting in South Augusta.

Warrants have been secured for Ceon Tarrel Ulmer for Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Ulmer is accused of shooting Xavier Lamar Robinson overnight at the Augusta Manor Apartments on Mike Padgett Highway.

RCSO is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ceon Tarrel Ulmer to contact the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at 706-821-1020 during normal business hours or 706-821-1080 after hours, callers may remain anonymous.

Ulmer is a black male 25 years of age that goes by the name of "Black" and is 5'06" in height and weighs 160 pounds. He is known to frequent the 1700 block of Jenkins Street in Augusta.

One man was shot inside a south Augusta apartment Wednesday night. Richmond County deputies say it happened at the Augusta Manor Apartments on Mike Padgett Highway just after 9 p.m.

Witnesses say they heard an argument coming from Building 13. Shortly after they heard three gun shots fired. They say the man was shot in the elbow.

Richmond County investigators were on the scene interviewing witnesses. They ask anyone with information to call police.
