AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has announced a major narcotics bust in Augusta.
The bust happened around 12:30 this afternoon, culminating an undercover operation that RCSO has been working on.
Steven Gebhart, 31, and wife Roxann Gebhart, 39, were arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop on the couple on the 4000 block of Windsor Spring Road. Illegal drugs were found in their vehicle.
A subsequent search of their residence at 4202 Windsor Spring Road, Lot #156, also turned up illegal drugs and paraphernalia.
Roxann Gebhart was found to have concealed a plastic bag containing methadone on her person. She was a contract worker at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center, working as a nurse through Correct Care Solution.
