PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Westbound Interstate 10 has reopened near 24th Street after a sewage truck rear-ended a sedan late Wednesday morning and began leaking fluids.

The truck rolled onto its side on the outside lane at the Salt River Bridge, and the fluids were leaking through the top of the tank onto the pavement after the collision about 10:45 a.m.

The fluids were later identified as kitchen grease.

The driver of the sedan was trapped for a short time, according to a Department of Public Safety spokesman.

During the closure, the Arizona Department of Transportation said all westbound traffic was detoured onto State Route 143 northbound.

Motorists also experienced delays on westbound U.S. 60 approaching I-10.
