BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -
A local man could spend up to a year in jail for wounding a hunter while target shooting.
Tyler Guzdail, 25, of Bay City, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of attempted careless discharge of a firearm.
Police say he was shooting at a dead end sign in Hampton Township in September when one of the bullets hit a truck parked nearby, then ricocheted and hit the vehicle's owner in the abdomen.
The victim, Gabriel Koscielski, suffered a non-life-threatening injury.
Guzdial will be sentenced Feb. 7. He faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
