Woman convicted of shooting at Pinal County deputies

SADDLEBROOKE, AZ (CBS5) -

A jury has found a 65-year-old woman guilty of firing shots at Pinal County Sheriff's deputies in the small town of Saddlebrooke.

On Friday, a Pinal County jury found Pamela Williams guilty of aggravated assault on a police officer and marijuana use.

Deputies were dispatched to a Saddlebrooke home on Jan. 4 about an ongoing feud between neighbors.

Deputies heard two gunshots and say Williams only stopped firing because the gun jammed.

Williams was arrested and while speaking with police she reportedly changed her story several times on where she fired the gun and why she fired it. Williams had pot in her system at the time of the shooting.

Williams is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 10. She faces up to 23 years in prison.
