MILLS TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A Roscommon man faces felony charges after allegedly robbing the Northland Credit Union in Ogemaw County's Mills Township on Dec. 20.

Bruce Dale Standridge, 52, is accused of using an unidentified device, fashioned as a weapon, in order to rob the facility, resulting in a charge of attempted robbery.  Standridge also faces a charge of fleeing police.

Officials said that Standridge tried to flee in a vehicle and was forced off of the road by a police cruiser.

Standrdige was taken to the Ogemaw County jail after being transported from an area hospital, where he was treated for injuries.

Standridge was also convicted in 2005 of the same count of armed robbery.  As a result, Standridge faces increased penalties as a habitual offender.

Standridge is expected to appear in 82nd District Court in Ogemaw County for a preliminary exam Jan. 15.
