Authorities in Steubenville held an 11 a.m. press conference to discuss some background on the rape case that has caught the attention of the nation through social media and most and introduce a new informational website.

According to authorities the goal of the website, steubenvillefacts.org, is to share the most accurate information regarding a most recent case of sexual assault charges pending against two juveniles. City officials say they will update the website with new information as it becomes available.

City Manager Cathy Davison indicated the website lists a timeline of how the Steubenville Police Department handled the case and that the purpose of the site is to disseminate any and all rumors regarding the case.

Angela Suggs, a City Council Member for Steubenville's fourth ward, encouraged people to come to council meetings to remain informed.

Police Chief Bill McCafferty also spoke, saying they have the video in as evidence, but that he cannot discuss the video or the case before it goes to trial.

"The website is to correct misinformation and I am doing my best to protect citizens from harassment," McCafferty said.

At noon, Occupy Steubenville protestors gathered outside the Jefferson County Courthouse.

According to their website #OccupySteubenville relates to a series of protests taking place in Steubenville, regarding the alleged teen rape involving a 15-year-old girl.

Hundreds showed up last weekend, and hundreds more showed up again Saturday.

Speakers stood up in front of the crowd and shouted that the boys in this case need to be held responsible for what they did.
