UPDATE: Swainsboro man shot to death; possible arrest on the horizon

SWAINSBORO, GA (WFXG) -

Swainsboro Police are still actively investigating the murder of Nathanial Johnson.

SPD tells FOX54 that they are interviewing a couple of people who are of interest in the case. They also are planning to examine additional evidence.

They're expecting to make an arrest in the case within the next two weeks.

The GBI is working with Swainsboro police to find the person responsible for shooting 57-year-old Nathaniel Johnson to death.

Johnson was discovered in his backyard on Mabel Avenue this morning around 8:30; police tell us he was shot several times.

Neighbors say they saw Johnson alive last night around 8 o'clock.

So far, police don't have any suspects or know why Johnson was shot and killed.
