AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -
The Georgia Department of Labor says unemployment rates for the month of November have declined in the Central Savannah River region and metro Augusta.
Unemployment dipped to 9.6% in the CSR region in November, down from October's 9.7%.
Rates dropped in metro Augusta as well to 8.5%, down from 8.6% from October.
The Department of Labor credits job growth and fewer new layoffs for the drop.
