UPDATED: Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by vehicle

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

UPDATE (6:09 p.m.): Fox 54 has learned the identity of the pedestrian struck by a car Saturday evening.

The Richmond Co. Sheriff's Office says she is 41 year old Susan Bailey.

Bailey was taken to Georgia Health Sciences Medical Center, and is in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle will not be charged, according to RCSO investigators. They say Bailey was at fault.

This is the 3rd pedestrian struck by a car in Augusta this week.

ORIGINAL STORY: A woman was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Saturday.

Richmond Co. Investigators say it happened at Peach Orchard Rd. and Lumpkin Rd. around 7:30 Saturday evening.
