AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -
The Augusta-Richmond County Board of Commissioners voting and deciding on several key issues tonight.
The board voted to uphold a previous vote back in June regarding the development of multi-family apartment homes in the Hillside neighborhood. The Commission voted down a measure that would have approved zoning changes to make that development possible.
The Commission also decided on the fate of the Clean Augusta Downtown Initiative, or CADI. CADI will be disbanded on December 31, allowing a third, controversial tax on downtown businesses to expire.
