EVANS, GA (WFXG) -

Dozens of troops will be receiving care packages with a special gift inside. CSRA Home Connections Local Alliance Co-op Marketing Program is wrapping up "Operation Hand-Warmer II."

Tuesday morning, volunteers packed more than 18,000 hand-warmers  for troops overseas. Volunteers also collected $30,000 worth of other necessities soldiers can use, like shaving cream, deodorant and toothpaste.

"It's awesome," said Capt. Edwin Seda, company commander of trainees at Fort Gordon. "I've been on the receiving end, and now I'm over here and it feels good to help out the brothers that are down range right now."

The troops will receive these care packages before the end of the year.
