AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -
Aiken Technical College is now accepting
applications for the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program. Unemployed
military veterans who meet the criteria are eligible for up to one year of
training in high demand occupations.
"It's designed to help unemployed veterans who are between
the ages of 35 and 60. And the goal is to get them some training so they can go
on to employment after, up to 12 months of re-training," said Aiken Tech Vice
President Bryan Newton.
The program offers training in areas such as manufacturing,
