EVANS, GA (WFXG) -
Columbia County promised a 100 percent chance of snow on Sunday, and guests saw ten inches of it!
In collaboration with the Golden Harvest Food Bank, the county held its 1st annual Snow Fest. Kids threw snowballs and built miniature snowmen in real snow laid on the grass at Evans Towne Center.
"It bring awareness," said Will Rogers, the incoming chair for the Golden Harvest Food Bank. "Folks got two for one tickets
if they brought a canned good to donate, so the Snow Fest partnered with Golden
Harvest, to have this. It's a big party! We're having fun, but we're feeding
people."
A portion of the proceeds also went to the Golden Harvest Food Bank.
