Scene clear at Highway 31 wreck

DPS officials say around dusk on Monday, a van collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 31 and FM 2661.

According to DPS, a pickup truck was stopped at a stoplight when a van, driven by Amanda Burris of Athens, slammed into the back of it. Burris was reportedly unable to see because the sun was in his eyes. No other vehicles were involved.

Burris was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not seriously injured.
