AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Update 2: Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies have apprehended a suspect in the Pak 'n Go shooting last week.

Deputies arrested Marcus Leverett this afternoon. Leverett is suspected to have shot Richard Mills at the Olive Road convenience store.

Leverett will be booked into the Richmond County Jail for 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime and Possession of a Firearm by a First Offender Probationer.

Update: The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is searching for a woman they say witnessed an afternoon shooting at the Pak 'n Go gas station on Olive Road in Augusta.

The RCSO tells FOX54 that around 2:15pm, deputies found Richard Mills, 19, in the store with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and legs. Mills was transported to GHS Medical Center and taken into surgery. Investigators tell us that Mills is out of surgery now, but don't have an update on his condition.

The suspect in this case was wearing a hoodie, with his face shrouded. He's described as being a Black male, between 5'7" and 5'10," weighing close to 150 lbs.

An unknown woman witnessed the incident. The RCSO is asking the public's help in identifying the woman. If you have any information in regards to this case, call the Sheriff's Office at (706) 821-1080.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a shooting at the Pak 'n Go on the 1600 block of Olive Road in Augusta.

RCSO dispatch confirms that one person was shot inside the store.

Investigator Vinson with RCSO says that witnesses are not cooperating at this time.
