Families join children in Lincoln Elementary reading program

DAYTON, KY (FOX19) -

A new national program made its debut at Lincoln Elementary in Dayton, Kentucky on Wednesday.

The program creates a familiy reading partnerships, by giving kids and their families a big box of books, valued at $50.

Students then visit stations set up at school, and receive tips on how to read better.

The goal of the program is to get disadvantaged children to read better, earlier.

The national program is sponsored by Read Aloud America.
