One person taken to hospital following afternoon shooting

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

One person is in the hospital and the search is on for a suspect following an afternoon shooting Friday.

Richmond County deputies were called to 2843 Pheasant Drive and Quail Hollow Drive for reports of a shooting.

Neighbors heard gunshots and then saw a man bleeding from his arm walk across the street. The victim was taken to an area hospital. No word on his condition.
