TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Law enforcement agents are searching for three juveniles who escaped from the Mt. Meigs youth facility in Montgomery County Saturday night.

Investigators say the three teens beat one of the facility workers so badly that his teeth were knocked out and he lost a thumb. The teens allegedly used keys taken from a staff member to take a vehicle. They then used the vehicle to crash through a gate to make their escape.

Officials say the three are from Huntsville, Franklin County and Tuscaloosa. Two have been spotted, but none of the three are back in custody.

The Tuscaloosa teen has been identified as Brandon Kyle Evans, 16. He is described as a white male, 5' 11", 215 pounds, bald head and hazel eyes.

Authorities consider him armed and dangerous, saying that he is a suspect in a Monday burglary in which guns were taken from a house in southern Tuscaloosa County.

"The information that we had yesterday was that the other two were possibly with him. But Evans is our primary concern and we consider him armed and dangerous," Sheriff Ted Sexton said.

Evans has been spotted in the Highway 69 area of Tuscaloosa County. He is wanted for escape in the first degree, assault in the first degree and conspiracy to committ escape in the first degree. Authorities allege that Evans masterminded the escape from Mount Meigs.

Authorities say that if you see Evans, you should not approach him but call 9-1-1 immediately.
