Victim in attempted murder-suicide upgraded to "stable" condition

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery police are investigating after an attempted murder-suicide at James Avenue in the Capitol Heights neighborhood.

Authorities tell WSFA 12 News that they responded to a 911 call around 5:30am Tuesday.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman who had sustained a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At 4:00pm, investigators confirmed that the unidentified woman's condition was upgraded to "stable" and her injuries are no longer considered life-threatening

Inside the residence, the police found a male who died from a gunshot wound.

No further details are available at this time.
