Suspected bank robber arrested in West Columbia

A man suspected of robbing two banks in Aiken is now behind bars. Thirty-two year old Clarence Junior Green surrendered at a West Columbia motel after learning about the pending charges. 

Investigators with the Aiken Department of Public Safety investigators identified and issued warrants for the arrest of Green Friday afternoon.

Green has been charged with two counts of Bank Robbery for the September 21, 2012 and November 13, 2012 robberies of the South Carolina State Credit Union located at 210 Beaufort Street, NE, in Aiken.

Green is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
