PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Multnomah County's Warrant Strike Team has arrested a woman suspected of stealing her own mother's identity while her mother was in a coma.
Police tell Fox 12 that Charlene Moore, of northeast Portland, went into a coma after undergoing cancer treatment.
That's when her daughter, Renee Mott, used Moore's driver's license and her credit card to rent a car, deputies said. She ran up nearly $3,000 on her mother's credit cards, according to the sheriff's office.
Mott is now charged with aggravated ID theft, criminal mistreatment and the fraudulent use of a credit card.
Deputies said Mott has a long criminal history.
