A man in his 60s died at a Phoenix hospital after he was struck by a car while crossing a street Monday morning.
The man was crossing 28th Street in a crosswalk about 7:40 a.m. after dropping his car off at a repair shop near Peoria Avenue when he was hit, according to Lt. Emilien Sapon, of the Phoenix Police Department. Sapon said there was no impairment suspected.
Sapon said witnesses said the man had the right of way when he was struck. The car's driver stopped at the scene.
The incident is under investigation, Sapon said.
No other information, including the victim's name and age, was immediately available.
