PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix Police are on the lookout for a Hispanic male in his early 20s who committed two armed robberies in less than a five-minute period.

On the morning of Sept. 29, 2012, two separate victims walking down the street were robbed at gunpoint by a young Hispanic man driving a silver minivan.

The crimes occurred only five minutes from each other and were separated by a distance of only three miles.  Both crimes played out in a very similar manner: the suspect quickly jumped out of his vehicle and pointed a handgun at the victims while demanding they give up their belongings.

During the second incident the suspect actually fired a shot and grazed the victim on the back of his head.

An hour later a person matching the suspect's description attempted to use a stolen credit card acquired in the armed robberies but was able to get away before authorities arrived.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 25 years old. He was driving a silver mini-van thought possibly to be a Dodge Caravan.

The first incident took place at 4622 W. Indian School Rd. The second occurred near 2700 W. Osborn Rd.  Both victims were men in their mid-40s.

Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the apprehension of the suspect.
