TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -
Police were searching for three armed people who locked the employees of a Tempe McDonald's restaurant in a freezer during a robbery Thursday morning.
A Tempe police spokesman said two men and a woman walked into the restaurant at Priest Drive and Baseline Road while it was open for business around 5 a.m. and forced the manager to open the safe and give them money.
The men then locked the five employees in the freezer, who were able to free themselves before police arrived.
Police did not have a description of the suspects or their vehicle, but were checking on surveillance video.
No other information was immediately available.
