Renovating State Fairgrounds would cost $150M, says firm

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Fixing the state's outdated fairgrounds in Davidson County would cost $150 million, a consulting firm told Metro officials this week.

The firm estimated that's how much it will cost the city to update the grounds to the level of comparable sites. That cost has not been approved.

Consultants are exploring other options like modifying the grounds for a mixed use purpose, getting rid of the speedway or moving the site altogether.
