Aiken County, SC (WFXG) -
The City of Aiken Parks,
Recreation & Tourism Department is hard at work transforming Hopelands
Gardens into a winter wonderland of lighted displays and pathways for the 20th
Annual Christmas in Hopelands and with over 100,000 lights to install, they
need your help!
On Monday, December 3rd,
there will be a community volunteer day at Hopelands Gardens from 9 am - 11
am. Volunteers will help install light bulbs along all the pathways in
the Gardens while the PRT crews continue the installation of lighted displays
throughout the Gardens. Volunteers are asked to meet in the Courtyard of
the Hall of Fame at 9 am. The first 50 volunteers will receive a
Christmas in Hopelands souvenir. This event provides a wonderful
opportunity for home schools, church groups, civic groups and community spirited
individuals to help prepare Hopelands Gardens for this City of Aiken's annual
holiday tradition.
If
you have any further questions about this event or would like to volunteer,
